Scripture is from The Creator’s Revelation. Revelation is direct communication from The Creator (GOD) to Instruct all of humanity to live as He Intended mankind to live. The Creation is His; only He has the right to dictate how all of it (including the life of humans) is to function.
Scripture is Revelation… So What is Revelation
Revelation means that which has been opened up, uncovered, made known, brought forth the nature of a thing. What is being the brought forth or made known? The Truth and Purpose of Creation. The Will of The Creator is constantly being revealed in the various types of Revelation. There are steps in Revelation.
1.) The first Revelation is through the Creation itself. GOD Created the whole Universe and all that it contains… seen and unseen.
2.) All of Creation speaks as Revelation to the mind and to the natural soul that seeks the Truth of the Will of GOD and the Plan of Existence as GOD designed and created it.
3.) The Creator selects from His Creation that which will be used to inspire and instruct Revelation. We know these as Angels…. Pure creators that do NOT disobey the Commands of the Creator.
4.) The Creator Sends Prophets and Messengers from among people that He has qualified to be teachers, models, and examples of the Way of Life that GOD has Designed humans to be. This comes to some of them as Revealed Knowledge transmitted to written Scripture. Generally speaking, the three best known written Scriptures are the Tawrah (Revelation to Prophet Moses, the Torah), the Injeel (the Revelation to and life example of Prophet Jesus), and the Qur’an (Revelation to and life example of Prophet Muhammad).
Before anything existed (this means that before Creation there was and is only The Creator who we call GOD), GOD Willed it and He Said “Be, and it is“!!! When creatures were first put into Creation, they all, every kind of creation, have a form, a function, and a purpose. Everything was Created with a form that fits its purpose for its existence. So, when you see any two creatures each having the same specific form, they are designed that way to complete a function in the Creation. This pertains to everything… the stars, the planets, the dark matter, the numerous forms on and in the forms of Creation, the air, the metal, the stones, the single cell creatures, the more advanced structure of creatures with multitudes of single cells, animals, insects, birds, humans…. all of that which has been Created has been given a form for its specific “class of forms”, with specific functions to match the “class”. So, a crow has the same form and function as every other crow, the lion has the same form and function as every other lion, the human has the same form and function as every other human, etc.
Everything in Creation is designed to act in accord with its purpose. When you look at Creation, you can see that everything is functioning in accord with Nature as GOD Designed it to function: pure and obedient… except for the human being in many cases. The Creation is exceedingly beautiful when it is functioning naturally. That is why we are in awe of the magnificence and the seeming unlimited display of the beautiful order and consistency of all of these “classes” and type of creation.
The Creation of Man (men and women) was to extend the Beauty of GOD’s Creative Work by placing an obedient, highly intelligent, strictly devout creature that would be the caretaker of GOD’s Creation. An obedient and devoutly conscious mankind is a supremely beautiful complement to ALLAH’s (GOD’s) Creation. Envision all of the achievements that GOD has inspired mankind to create and build and allowed mankind to improve for the betterment and furtherance of human life and world maintenance, and now imagine if mankind had done this with the proper devout service, and devout submission, to The Creator, with the goal of serving The Creator and His Creation with the proper respect and Dignity that was intended by GOD.
Revelation is from The Creator… it defines life, the purpose of life, the function of creatures in life, the role of humans in life, and how humans must conduct life, relationships among each to other, and their responsibilities to The Creator and to Creation.
What is Scripture?
Scripture is written Revelation. To use a contemporary analogy, Scripture is like the User’s Manual for human life. It instructs you as to how you are Created to behave, how you are to interact rightfully with others, how to respect the sanctity of Creation. It instructs you on how life is to be lived according to the nature of which The Creator (GOD) Designed and Made the human and the rest of Creation. Scripture teaches you that all of Creation is United and Unified as one entity.
Scripture is the written Revelation that The Creator (GOD) sends to mankind to guide mankind to the right purpose of its creation. So, when we refer to “Scripture”, we are referring to the Books that were written as a result of the messages that GOD revealed to prophets and messengers. Notorious Scripture are books such as the Torah, the Gospel, and the Qur’an. Original scripture was always revealed in the language spoken by the prophet to whom GOD made has revelation to whom Guidance was taught. What we know of most scripture today is volumes that were translation to various languages from what could be ascertained as being from the original language. I say this because much of the original language for much of previous revelation has been lost or destroyed, so what remains is generally what has been agreed upon by scholars and learned people from what has been passed down. The Qur’an is the only book which is in its original form in its totality. Many Qur’ans are distributed with both the original Arabic that was understood by the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him) and the language that the Arabic was translated to. Many Qur’ans are distributed with only the original Arabic script.
As stated above, the purpose of Scripture is to communicate the Revelation sent from GOD for proper Guidance to mankind. Scripture that was sent after any previous scripture had the purpose of correcting the eventual changes and miscommunications (intended and unintended), meaning any variation that resulted in the alteration of the original revealed messages’ intent and purity.
Everything that The Creator made has a function and purpose along with the form that suits the performance and fulfillment of that purpose. Everything in Creation operates under the Laws under which they were created… in form and function. All of Creation naturally functions according to the Laws from which they are bound to function. This concept is easy to understand when you evaluate what we know in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, etc., in that we study these and other sciences and from our observation, we can extract the laws under which they were created.
